Started by myself and Molly Portsmouth, Cherry Flips aims to create designs that are both artistic and personal with a genuine feel of authenticity in a modern context. Ifluenced by our heritage, shared upbringing and love of textiles, our references are drawn from across the globe and often include symbolism to bring good fortune. Our designs are hand drawn in our London studio and printed in the UK.

Our Redwork print was inspired by a form of American embroidery. Originating in the 19th century, Redwork was traditionally stitched in red as this was the first commercially available colourfast dyed thread- hence the name. Each motif has been chosen to represent an aspect of our familial heritage combined with wishes for the future.
Cherry Flips began as a range of SIlk/Cotton Scarves, this led to a collaboration with the Conran Shop. We will shortly be reintroducing some new scarf and sarong designs in time for summer.
As Senior Print Designer at Whistles I was in charge of all colour, research, concept and print development across womenswear, night-wear and accessories. Leading trend presentations, coordinating with colleagues and suppliers to ensure deadlines were met. Creating collections that are commercial and current without losing focus of the brand’s identity and the products’ end use.
